2025 Run Celina Ambassadors
clare barnardMy name is Clare Barnard. I'm a Celina graduate and now a 4th grade teacher at O'Dell Elementary School. I ran track and cross country in high school and was very competitive. Recently I have realized my love for running is more for the mental health benefits it brings me. There's no better day, than a day that starts with a morning run. I want to share my love for being active and promote healthy bodies and minds for this amazing community.

wendi brannonI started running later in my life and I love the community! I have been active with local run companies and I love Run Celina. I am a mom of 6, wife, yogi, runner, student, and lover of people.

lauren brickerI began running 14 years ago and quickly found a love for the sport and community! I run outdoors 5-6 days per week and love motivating others to run. I have found the running community to be very supportive and encouraging towards others, regardless of distance or time. I love running fast but I also love running long distances. I have raced distances between 5k through marathon including the Boston Marathon as a qualifier. I've moved on to even longer distances including several ultra marathons. Trail runs or road runs- fast or slow, they can all be fun when running with friends!

Jessica bunnI'm a working mom of 2 and love to run. I started running after my brother died by suicide in 2020.
|
doug cassaroI started running back in 2006 as a way to get back into shape and after running my first 5K, I was hooked! I have since gone on to run countless races ranging from 5Ks all the way up to 100 milers.
I love the outdoors and running provides that outlet for me to connect with it, whether that be running the trails at Erwin Park or pounding the pavement around my neighborhood. I work for Southwest Airlines and live in McKinney with my wife and two very busy little boys. |
jera crandallMy name is Jera Crandall, I'm 19 years old, and I'm a figure skater as well as a distance runner. I began running for long periods of time frequently to build my overall endurance for the benefit of my skating. In the beginning I didn't specifically train as a runner, I only trained as a figure skater. I realized though the more I ran that I really had a passion for running. Over the last few months I've really gone in depth with learning specific training and essentials to improve as a distance runner. I'm a dual sport athlete with so much passion for my sports, specifically training both as a competitive figure skater and runner. I'm an athlete with a chronic illness as well as mental health struggles. I'm an athlete hard at work to recover from my eating disorder while being a mental health advocate and representative of athletes with chronic illness. I would be beyond excited to become an ambassador for Run Celina to share my burning love and passion for sports as well as my outlook on what it takes to succeed and overcome adversity.

jordan hansenHi! My name is Jordan and I am a wife and mama to two beautiful kids, ages 4 and 6 months. We live in Celina, TX and love the small town feel of this community. I found my passion for running back in 2020 when there wasn't much else to do besides workout and learn more about how to properly fuel my body. On my journey I lost 45lbs, and became the healthiest version of myself. Since then I've become a mom, and while my lifestyle has changed dramatically, my passion for running and living a healthy lifestyle has remained the same. I love to help motivate others to do the same!

Justin LayI currently reside in Little Elm, Texas, and have been in the Texas area for almost 13 years now. I relocated to Texas in 2012 from St. Louis, Missouri, with my wife and two kids. I entered the world of running in 2013 as a way to prioritize my health, and I haven't turned back since. Running is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to improve your health mentally and physically, and it's a passion of mine to spread that knowledge to others. I've had many great experiences over the last 10 years in the running world. I've completed four marathons and countless half-marathons and still find joy and peace in running every time I lace up my running shoes. Outside of running, I enjoy spending time with my family. Family is everything, so I prioritize spending time with them above all. I'm also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, so traveling to watch them play is also a hobby of mine. I look forward to helping others enjoy this special world of running.

lynnetta smithI am passionate about health and wellness. Over the last 15 years I have strived to inspire others to live an active lifestyle by pouring in to things that bring them joy. Most recently it has been by encouraging walkers and runners to hit the pavement. Whether training for races or simply enjoying a morning jog, I believe in the power of community and the positive impact walking, jogging or running can have on both physical and mental well-being. As a dedicated and enthusiastic individual, I'm excited to share my love for fitness to motivate others, and help build a supportive environment where walkers and runners of all levels feel welcome. My goal as an ambassador is to foster a fun, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere, while helping others achieve their personal goals.
